Farm Auction Process

Step 1: Free, No-Obligation Consultation & Appraisal

Our no-obligation consultation begins with our qualified staff visiting your farm to discuss your plans to sell and describe our auction process. Our team will take a good look around your farm to evaluate the equipment, vehicles, implements and whatever else you plan to liquidate. Our team has access to many different resources to research comparable sales and set expectations for the value of your items.

Step 2: Marketing Your Farm Auction

We will create a pre-auction preview listing to promote your farm auction on Facebook, social media, our e-newsletter and through old-fashioned cold calling. Our database of thousands of customers has many people who are looking for the exact items you have for sale! We make every effort to reach as many people as possible to ensure a great turnout.

Step 3: Preparing for the Auction

Our staff will come to your farm to stage your equipment, vehicles, implements and anything else you need to sell. We come prepared with everything we need to get things going; air compressors, tools, jump packs, jumper cables, etc. We’ll take a lot of pictures and videos to post on our website and social media along with detailed descriptions.

Step 4: Auction Day

We typically start auction day bright and early at 4:30 am. We double check all of our online assets and advertising to be sure they include the correct address and directions. We place signs around your property to direct bidders to the auction. We’ll setup any display cases, tables, lights, etc., that we need to be sure to have a successful auction. We field questions by phone and in person during the auction preview. Our staff will be prepared to demonstrate your equipment (within reason) for potential buyers. We handle parking to make sure we don’t disrupt your operation or your neighbors. We’ll have staff positioned in strategic places around the auction to answer questions and ensure the safety of bidders. Before the auction begins, we’ll speak to the crowd to explain the bidding process and introduce the items up for auction. We’ll handle everything – all you need to do is sit back and relax!

Step 5: Post Auction

At the end of the auction we’ll meet with you to discuss the results. Our staff will remove all of the equipment, tables and display cases we setup for the auction. We can help coordinate safe removal of the equipment that sold and would be happy to list any items that didn’t sell in one of our regular consignment auctions. Once the auction is cleaned up, we will retire to our office and prepare your invoice which you will receive within 72 hours. Once you approve the invoice you’ll have a check in your hand within 10 business days.
