Vehicle Auction Process

Step 1: No-Obligation Consultation

Our no-obligation consultation begins with our qualified staff coming to your location to discuss the vehicles you want to sell at auction and describe the auction process. Our team digs deep into our resources to get the latest comparable sale prices to offer you the most accurate valuation possible. We’ll record year, make, model and VIN of each vehicle as well as check what options were selected for the car to be sure our listings are as accurate as possible. If you don’t have a title for some of your vehicles, we can help you get one or recommend it to be sold as “bill of sale only”. Bill of Sale auctions can bring down prices, so every effort you make to get a title will pay off.

Step 2: Marketing Your Vehicle Auction

We prepare a pre-auction listing to promote using Facebook, social media, our e-newsletter and good, old-fashioned cold calling. We have thousands of contacts in our database, many of which are avid car collectors who might be interested in what you have for sale. We work hard to reach the largest number of people possible to attract serious bidders.

Step 3: Preparing for the Auction

We prepare a pre-auction listing to promote using Facebook, social media, our e-newsletter and good, old-fashioned cold calling. We have thousands of contacts in our database, many of which are avid car collectors who might be interested in what you have for sale. We work hard to reach the largest number of people possible to attract serious bidders.

Step 4: Auction Day

We begin preparing long before your auction day and on the of the sale our staff is usually mobilized by 4:30 am to make sure everything is ready. We double-check all of our advertising as well as the auction listing on our website to be sure we have the accurate address, directions and time of the sale. We place signs around your location to make it easy to find your auction as well as attract people who might not otherwise have heard about it. We will field last minute phone calls and make sure parking is accommodated. We do our best to make sure we adhere to any HOA or city regulations regarding parking so you won’t have any issues. We go door-to-door talking to your neighbors so they know about the crowd that is about to descend on your auction. During the preview, we make sure our staff has keys in their hand so they can show your vehicles to prospective bidders and demonstrate them within reason. Before the auction begins we welcome the bidders by announcing the auction and introducing your items to them. We make sure to have the right amount of staff at your action to field any questions and ensure the safety of all guests.

Step 5: Post Auction

Once your auction comes to an end we’ll meet with you to discuss the results. We will remove all of our equipment and any display stands we used. We can help coordinate removal of sold vehicles as well as what to do with anything that did not sell. Anything that doesn’t sell still belongs to you! If something doesn’t sell, you may consider putting it up in one of our regular online consignment auctions where you might reach the right person who couldn’t attend the auction. Once your auction is cleaned up we will go back to our office and prepare your invoice to have to you within 72 hours. Once you approve the invoice you’ll have a check in your hand in as little as 10 business days after the auction. We’ll take care of it all!
